County of Hawaii Mass Transit Agency Baseyard and Administrative Facility - Island of Hawaii ($3,200,000)
This project is needed to replace a cramped 60-year old facility that was not designed for its current use.
With the rapid growth and expansion of the Hawaii Island bus service, the County of Hawaii Transit Agency is now at the point where a new facility is required in order to meet the growing demands for transit services and to maintain the vehicle fleet. Funds would be used to construct the facility. The total estimated cost of the project is $4,000,000.
