Puhi Road Improvements - Island of Kauai ($3,200,000)
This project will improve the road foudation and provide a new wearing surface for Puhi Road on the island of Kauai.
It will improve safety in the use of the roadway by both the community it serves and the adjacent industrial center. The improvement project will start at the intersection of Kamualli Highway and Puhi Road, to and including the driveway to the County of Kaua‘i metal recycling facilities (approximately 4,500 feet). The proper roadway will encourage the use of the roadway serving the industrial center and thereby help promote economic development in the region. The total estimated cost of the project is $4,000,000.
